We import, manufacture and wholesale RC models, workshop materials and hobby products to the UK and Ireland trade. Founded by Jim Perkins in south London, now based in Kent.
Our History
Five decades in the hobby trade.
J Perkins Distribution was founded by Jim Perkins in 1975, operating from a warehouse in south London. From there, Jim served independent toy and model shops across London and the South East — building the foundations of what would become one of the UK's most recognised hobby distributors.
After 25 years of growth the business outgrew its London home. In 2000 we moved into a purpose-built 25,000 ft² facility in Lenham, Kent — well-positioned for our European partners via the Channel Tunnel. We've operated from here ever since.
